Author Guidelines

Notes for contributors

  1. CJSSP accepts original academic articles, forum notes, book and event reviews written in   English.  

  2. Contributions should be submitted electronically at http://cjssp.uni-corvinus.hu (please submit texts in MS Word or Rich Text Format. PDF files are not acceptable.

  3. The maximum length of articles normally shouldn’t exceed 8000 words (including tables, figures and references).

  4. Word Times New Roman 12, double space format and American spelling is applied. Please do not insert line breaks in the text or special spacing for formatting.

  5. Please format TITLE and SECTION HEADINGS in capital bold type.

  6. Section sub-headings should be italicized.

  7. Manuscripts should include a max. 150-word abstract and 3-7 keywords.

  8. The submitted article must contain the title, but must not include the authors’ name and contact information. 

  9. In a supplementary file all authors' name, academic affiliation and address (including phone number and e-mail) should be uploaded. The authors should declare that the article is their own intellectual product, it is not under review at any other journal and hasn’t been published yet in English.

  10. Tables and figures should have number and title above them. Titles should be self-explanatory. Footnotes below the tables and figures (Word Times New Roman 10) should indicate the source of data and other necessary information for clear understanding. Tables and figures are unacceptable without title and source, even if the source is the author’s own calculation.

  11. Footnotes and endnotes in the text should be kept at the minimum.

  12. The number of figures should be kept at the minimum as well; they should be presented in camera-ready format; keep in mind that the printed version is black and white! 

  13. Authors are usually notified within three months about the result of the review.

  14. Authors assign copyright to CJSSP. Authors are responsible for permission to reproduce copyright material from other sources. 

  15. All forms of plagiarism constitute unethical publishing behavior and are unacceptable. Articles may be checked by  https://www.plagiarismsoftware.net/, https://www.urkund.com/ or other reliable programs

  16.  References in the text should contain the surname of the first author and the year of publication (e.g. Bornshier et al. 2004).

  17. Full references should be given at the end of the manuscript in alphabetical order, with DOI number, in the following style:

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

    The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.

  2. The submission does not contain the authors' name, or any contact information.
  3. Besides the submitted paper it is required to upload  supplementary document(s) containing the following: 

    • Authors' name and contact information
    • A signed declaration on the originality of the work and that it has not been submitted to any other journal
